A hybrid developed from the cross between Ethiopian landraces and Sarchimor. It is a compact plant with high productivity, excellent cup quality, and notable resistance to coffee leaf rust. Esperanza is also tolerant to Coffee Berry Disease (CBD) and adapts well to diverse climatic conditions. Its fruit is medium to large, and it performs best at altitudes between 1,200 and 1,800 meters above sea level.
